Community Leader
As the Managing Director and Partner in The PFM Group’s Orlando office, Steven Alexander has 30 years of investment and financial management experience. That’s only one aspect of his work in Greater Orlando. Civic minded and passionate about his community, Steven consistently gives back to the people of Central Florida. Steven and his wife both serve on the Board of Directors for the Florida Hospital Foundation and Coalition for the Homeless. Steven is also the Vice-Chairman of the Board of Trustees at Stetson University and previously served on committees overseeing finances for the Orlando Science Center, Orange County Regional History Center and the American Heart Association.

For us, we can’t think of a better place to volunteer our time and resources than the Florida Hospital Foundation. So many awesome things are happening there every day; some are in the spotlight, and others just continue on each day, with no fanfare or recognition other than to those whose lives are improving and thriving because of the gift of care that they are receiving. It’s impossible not to be touched and moved by taking a tour through the Florida Hospital Trina Hidalgo Heart Care Center, the outpatient clinic for underserved heart patients in Orlando, and hearing the stories of how it has saved and changed the lives of so many in our community who are in need. That, along with the innovative research, wonderful nurses, and amazing physicians and surgeons that are on the cutting-edge of heart care – we have a top-ranked Cardiovascular Institute in our own backyard!

As a financial manager and investment specialist, Steven has always cared deeply about educating others. He’s shared his extensive knowledge of the financial world as a featured speaker on the television program Central Florida Spotlight – Managing State Investments. Recognized as a dynamic and informative commentator, Steven has also been interviewed by national and regional media outlets, providing audiences with smart and practical advice for their financial investments. Steven is frequently asked to speak on subjects ranging from investing to economic trends.
